Dear one,
What is your way of being in the world?
Do you scurry around, trying to not let others down? Trying to hide your vulnerabilities? Measuring how well you execute something and never quite measuring up?
Or do you accept yourself so deeply, hold yourself so dearly, that you allow yourself to be, exactly as you are?
Go into the energy that drives the scurrying. Who or what tries so hard? What is the essence of it? Allow it into the alchemical cauldron of your awareness.
To the one who fears letting others down, what do you fear? What do you want?
Do you want to know that you are lovable and acceptable? You don't need to earn it. Feel the love that is here for you now. It's okay to let others down. On the human level, personalities will have all sorts of views and opinions, but deep down everyone loves you. They want you to be you.
As you allow yourself to be imperfect, to be human, you teach yourself and others about vulnerability. You exude a palpable presence of calm, relaxation, and acceptance where others can relax their masks. There is more recognition between you and others, more connection and love on this deep level.
Let yourself off the hook. Your early models of perfection were vulnerable and human and struggled too.
It's okay to be scared to live in a new way. Be patient with yourself as you meditate on how you are being in the world. It's okay to strive to be perfect, but do it with patience, gentleness, and acceptance of mistakes.
Would you rather children be raised never being allowed to make mistakes? Or would you rather people learn from the inside out, knowing the limits of their capabilities?
In the same way, if you allow yourself to make mistakes, you will have confidence that cannot come any other way. A buoyant joy will uplift you.
Be yourself. Be love. Enjoy the revelation of yourself as you ponder the mystery of your being.
